Pirots 2: the short verdict
Pirots 2 is one of the more original games in our catalogue: four birds walk the grid and collect symbols of their own colour, while a feature meter keeps adding wilds, grid expansions and upgrades. It rewards attention and has a 10,000x ceiling. The weak point is maths: ELK publishes a 94.0% RTP, lower than most titles here, with volatility of 8 out of 10. Enjoy it in the demo first and keep real-money sessions short.

Pirots 2 is a free slot to try on this page before you risk anything: the demo above is ELK Studios' own build, loaded with play money in C$. Released in November 2023, it follows the first Pirots with the same core idea, ELK's CollectR system, where birds move across the grid and gather symbols instead of lining them up on paylines.
That makes it harder to read at first than a classic slot, so this guide walks through it in order: how a collection forms, what the upgrades and feature meter do, how the bonus game keeps its progress, what a 94.0% RTP and 10,000x max win mean in dollars, and when ELK's X-iter modes are worth a look. It ends with a short comparison with other grid games in our list.
How the Pirots 2 game works: birds instead of paylines
The game is played on a 6x6 grid that can grow during play. There are no paylines and no "ways". Instead, four birds sit on the grid, each tied to one colour. On every spin, each bird moves and collects the amber symbols that match its own colour, and those collections are what pay.
Think of it as a path rather than a line. A bird can only reach a symbol it can walk to, so empty positions and blocked routes matter. Popcorn, a feature symbol covered below, exists to fill those gaps.
Upgrades
Each amber symbol can be upgraded up to seven times. Every upgrade raises what that symbol pays when a bird collects it, which is how a modest-looking grid can turn into a solid win late in a spin. ELK's paytable in the game shows the values for each level at your current stake.
ELK's data sheet gives a hit frequency of 25.4%. In plain terms, roughly one spin in four returns some kind of win; the other three return nothing.
The feature meter and the feature symbols
Everything the birds collect also feeds a meter. When the meter is full, the game awards three chests of feature symbols, which then act on the grid. The feature types listed by ELK are:
- Coin wins: direct cash prizes.
- Upgrades: push symbols up their seven-step ladder.
- Wilds: help a bird complete its collection.
- Grid expansion: makes the board larger than 6x6.
- Redrops and transformations: refresh or change symbols already on the grid.
- Popcorn: fills empty spaces so a bird can cross a gap once.
- Bonus: part of the route into the bonus game.
The popcorn piece is easy to overlook in the demo but changes a lot: a bird stuck behind a hole in the grid cannot reach anything, and one popcorn crossing can open a whole cluster to it.
The bonus game and the super bonus
Three bonus symbols start the bonus game. Its key difference from the base game is memory: the grid size, the feature meter and the upgrade levels persist through the round instead of resetting each spin. A board that has already been expanded and upgraded keeps that progress, so value can build across the round.
ELK also lists a super bonus. You can buy straight into it through the top X-iter tier at 500x the bet, covered in the X-iter section below.
Pirots 2 RTP, volatility and max win
ELK's game data sheet publishes an RTP of 94.0% and rates volatility 8 out of 10. That RTP is lower than most games in our catalogue, which sit close to 96-96.5%. Over the long run, 94.0% means about C$94 back for every C$100 staked and C$6 kept, almost twice the house share of a 96.5% game. Casinos may also offer the game at a lower RTP than the one ELK publishes, so check the info screen.
The 10,000x cap in Canadian dollars
The maximum win is 10,000x the bet. ELK's sheet lists bets from EUR 0.20 to EUR 100; Canadian casinos set their own C$ limits, and the demo uses its own bet ladder. The table shows the cap at a few example stakes:
| Stake | Max win (10,000x) |
|---|---|
| C$0.40 | C$4,000 |
| C$1 | C$10,000 |
| C$5 | C$50,000 |
| C$20 | C$200,000 |
Volatility of 8 out of 10 means the game can go long stretches without much, then pay a lot inside one bonus. More on how these numbers interact is in RTP and volatility.
X-iter: paying for a different start
X-iter is ELK's name for its menu of paid modes. In Pirots 2 there are five, priced as a multiple of your base bet. ELK describes them as buy and boost modes; the top tier buys the super bonus, and the X-iter menu in the game explains what each lower tier does.
| X-iter tier | Cost at C$1 base bet |
|---|---|
| 3x | C$3 |
| 10x | C$10 |
| 25x | C$25 |
| 100x | C$100 |
| 500x (Super Bonus) | C$500 |
The costs climb fast. A single 100x purchase is the same money as 100 normal spins, and the outcome of that one purchase can be well below its price. X-iter does not improve the game's edge; it only concentrates your budget into fewer, bigger events. Some markets restrict bought features, so the menu may not appear at every casino.

Pirots 2 free demo: what the slot demo shows
The Pirots 2 slot demo on this page runs ELK's official build with a CAD play-money balance. It needs no account and no deposit, and the birds, meter, bonus and X-iter menu behave as they do for real money. If you have searched for a Pirots 2 demo slot to learn the rules, this is the place to do it.
Making the most of the slot demo Pirots 2 offers
- Watch one bird at a time for a few spins and follow its route; the logic clicks quickly.
- Note how often the meter fills and what the three chests usually contain.
- Try an X-iter tier with play money to see what that price actually buys before you ever consider it with C$.
Demo winnings cannot be withdrawn, and a good run in play money does not predict real results. To play Pirots 2 for cash, you need an account at a licensed casino.
Moving from the Pirots 2 free slot to real money: stake tips
No tactic changes the 94.0% RTP or the order in which birds move; outcomes are random. What you can manage is how a session feels, which matters more than usual for a game this swingy and this busy.
- Budget in spins, not dollars. With volatility of 8 out of 10, plan for at least 200 base bets per session. A C$60 budget then points to about C$0.30 a spin, or the lowest step your casino offers.
- Account for the lower RTP. At 94.0%, the expected cost of 200 spins at C$0.30 is about C$3.60, against roughly C$2.10 for a 96.5% game. Small per session, but it adds up over many.
- Keep X-iter for a decision, not a reflex. Buying after a losing stretch is chasing losses with bigger bets.
- Set a stop point both ways. Decide your loss limit and the win you would leave with before the first spin.

Pirots 2 casino play in Canada
Pirots 2 by ELK is distributed to licensed online casinos, so availability depends on where you live. In Ontario, look for an AGCO-registered operator listed by iGaming Ontario; in Alberta, one registered with AGLC, required since 13 July 2026. Elsewhere in Canada, the provincial online casino is the regulated local option. Players need to be 19, except in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec, where 18 is the minimum.
Before playing, check the RTP the casino shows in the game's info panel against ELK's 94.0%, and use deposit and session limits. The game runs in the browser, so it plays on phones through a casino's mobile site as it does in the demo here. Provincial details are on our Canada page.
How it compares with other grid games in our list
Pirots 2 is the only ELK game and the only CollectR game in our catalogue, so there is no direct sibling. The closest matches are grid and collect games that also build value over a round:
| Game | Provider | RTP | Volatility | Max win |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pirots 2 | ELK Studios | 94.0% | 8 of 10 | 10,000x |
| Sugar Rush 1000 | Pragmatic Play | 96.53% | High | 25,000x |
| Le Bandit | Hacksaw Gaming | 96.34% | 3 of 5 | 10,000x |
| Money Train 4 | Relax Gaming | 96.10% | High | 150,000x |
If the moving-collector idea is what you like, Reactoonz offers another busy grid with its own charge-up features, and Big Bass Bonanza uses a simpler collect mechanic on a classic reel set. Every one of these has a higher published RTP than Pirots 2, which is worth weighing if you plan long sessions. See all titles in the slot catalogue.

- Bonus game keeps grid size, meter and upgrades, so progress builds
- 10,000x max win with five X-iter tiers to choose how you play
- Official ELK demo in C$ play money for learning the rules first
Cons
- Published RTP of 94.0% is below the 96%+ of most games in our list
- Volatility rated 8 of 10 - long runs without a win are normal
- Takes a few rounds to understand; the screen is busy for newcomers
- Higher X-iter tiers cost 100x-500x the bet in a single purchase
How the feature works
Four birds on a 6x6 grid each collect amber symbols of their own colour; those collections are the wins. Symbols can upgrade up to seven times. Collections fill a feature meter, and a full meter awards three chests of feature symbols such as coin wins, wilds, upgrades, grid expansion, redrops, transformations, popcorn and bonus symbols. Three bonus symbols start the bonus game, where grid size, meter and upgrade levels persist. A super bonus can be bought through the 500x X-iter tier.
