Fortune of Olympus: the short verdict
Fortune of Olympus takes the multiplier idea that made the Olympus series famous and puts it on a 7x7 cluster grid. Medium volatility, a 96.55% RTP across every mode and a 10,000x ceiling make it more balanced than the 1000 and 2500 versions of Gates. The menu of ante bets, Super Spins and buys is wide, so learn it in the demo before you spend real money.

The Fortune of Olympus demo above lets you play Pragmatic Play's December 2025 release for free, with a play balance in Canadian dollars. It is a new take on the Olympus theme: instead of the 6x5 scatter-pays grid of Gates of Olympus, this game uses a 7x7 grid where clusters of five or more matching symbols pay. Wins tumble away, multiplier symbols worth 2x to 500x can land on any spin, and free spins keep a running total multiplier.
Below we explain how clusters and multipliers work, what each of the four special bets and two buy options costs, what the 96.55% RTP and 10,000x max win mean in C$, how it compares with the Gates family, and where to play it legally in Canada.
How the 7x7 cluster grid pays
Each spin fills a 7x7 grid with 49 symbols. A win needs five or more of the same symbol touching horizontally or vertically; diagonal contact does not count. Bigger clusters pay more, and the paytable steps up all the way to clusters of 15 or more.
After a win, the cluster disappears and new symbols fall in from above. That tumble repeats as long as new clusters form, so one spin can pay several times. The Zeus scatter and the multiplier symbols can land on any reel.
Symbol values at a glance
The lightning bolt is the top symbol: a cluster of 15 or more pays 150x the total bet, while the minimum cluster of five pays 1x. Below it come the ring, helmet and chalice, then three gems. The lowest symbol, the green gem, pays 0.2x for five and 20x for 15 or more. Most everyday wins are small clusters of gems; the big values need large clusters of premium symbols, often helped by tumbles.
Multipliers and the running total in free spins
Multiplier symbols worth 2x to 500x can drop in the base game and in free spins. When a tumble sequence ends, all multipliers on screen are added together and applied to the total win of that sequence. If there is no win, the multipliers do nothing.
Free spins are triggered by Zeus scatters:
| Scatters | Free spins |
|---|---|
| 4 | 15 |
| 5 | 20 |
| 6 | 25 |
| 7 | 30 |
The same scatter counts retrigger during the round, adding the same number of spins again. The key difference from the base game is the total multiplier: every multiplier that lands as part of a win is added to a running total, and that total is applied to later wins in the round. A round that collects a few multipliers early can turn modest clusters into much larger payouts later on.
Ante Bets, Super Spins and buys: what each costs
Fortune of Olympus offers more ways to change the bet than most slots. Here is what each mode does, with the cost per spin or per buy at a C$1 base bet:
| Mode | Cost at C$1 | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Standard spin | C$1 | Normal game |
| Ante Bet 1 | C$2 | 5x the chance of free spins |
| Ante Bet 2 | C$7 | 5x the chance, and multipliers in the feature start at 5x |
| Super Spin 1 | C$10 | A multiplier lands on every spin; no free spins |
| Super Spin 2 | C$250 | A multiplier of at least 50x on every spin; no free spins |
| Buy free spins | C$100 | Starts the free spins round |
| Buy super free spins | C$500 | Free spins with a minimum multiplier value of 5x |
The in-game rules list the same 96.55% RTP for all four special bets and both buys. So none of them improves your expected return; they change how much you spend per spin and how the wins are spread. Super Spin 2 is the clearest example: at a C$240 base bet it costs C$60,000 per spin, the demo's maximum. Not every casino build includes the buy options, so check yours.
RTP 96.55%, medium volatility and 10,000x in C$
Pragmatic Play publishes an RTP of 96.55%. Spread across a huge sample of spins, that works out to roughly C$96.55 returned per C$100 staked; the rest is the house edge. A single session can land far from that figure in either direction, and casinos can run lower-RTP versions, so check the info screen. Our RTP and volatility guide explains why.
Volatility is medium, a step calmer than the High rating of Gates of Olympus 1000 and 2500. Expect a mix of small cluster wins and occasional larger hits rather than long silence followed by one big round.
The maximum win is 10,000x the stake. At base bets in the demo's range:
- C$0.20 a spin: up to C$2,000
- C$1 a spin: up to C$10,000
- C$5 a spin: up to C$50,000
- C$240 a spin: up to C$2,400,000
These are ceilings that very few rounds ever reach. Plan your budget around the everyday results, not the top line.

Fortune of Olympus demo: playing the free slot
The demo here is Pragmatic Play's own build, so the Fortune of Olympus free slot behaves exactly like the real-money version: same grid, same paytable, same multipliers and the same menu of special bets. The balance is play money in Canadian dollars and cannot be cashed out.
The demo game is the best place to understand the bet modes, because trying Super Spin 2 or a 500x buy for real would be expensive. Some useful checks:
- Open the paytable to see every cluster size, not just the top and bottom tiers.
- Play a stretch on standard spins, then on Ante Bet 1, and compare how fast the play balance moves.
- Buy the free spins a few times and note how widely the results vary.
A short demo run says nothing reliable about future wins. Use it to learn the game, not to predict it.
Fortune of Olympus vs Gates of Olympus
Fortune of Olympus shares its theme and multiplier symbols with Gates of Olympus, but the grid and the way wins form are different. Here is how it lines up with the Gates versions in our list:
| Game | Grid and pays | Volatility | Max win | RTP |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fortune of Olympus | 7x7, clusters of 5+ | Medium | 10,000x | 96.55% |
| Gates of Olympus | 6x5, 8+ anywhere | Medium | 5,000x | 96.50% |
| Gates of Olympus 1000 | 6x5, 8+ anywhere | High | 15,000x | 96.50% |
| Gates of Olympus Super Scatter | 6x5, 8+ anywhere | Medium | 50,000x | 96.50% |
| Gates of Olympus 2500 | 6x5, 8+ anywhere | High | 25,000x | 96.52% |
The original Gates gives 15 free spins on a trigger; Fortune gives 15 to 30 depending on the scatter count. Fortune also offers more special bets than the original Gates, the 1000 or the Super Scatter; only the 2500 has a longer menu. If the 7x7 cluster layout is what you like, Sugar Rush 1000 uses the same grid size but builds multipliers on marked spots instead.
Setting a budget when every mode costs a different amount
The biggest practical risk in this game is not the maths, which is the same 96.55% in every mode. It is the menu. Moving from a C$1 standard spin to Ante Bet 2 multiplies your cost per spin by seven, and Super Spin 1 by ten, with one tap. No mode or pattern of switching beats the house edge, so the useful decisions are about cost and session length.
- Pick one mode per session. Decide before you start whether you are playing standard spins, an ante bet or buys, and stick with it.
- Price the session in spins. A C$100 budget is 100 standard spins at C$1, about 14 spins on Ante Bet 2, or 10 on Super Spin 1.
- Treat buys as single bets. One 100x buy at C$1 uses the whole C$100 budget in one round.
- Use a win limit too. Medium volatility brings regular mid-sized wins; leaving after one is the only way to keep it.
Who the Fortune of Olympus slot suits
The Fortune of Olympus slot suits players who like the Olympus multipliers but want a gentler ride than the 1000 and 2500 versions of Gates, and who enjoy cluster grids with long tumble chains. If you prefer a simple game with one button, the original Gates of Olympus or the wider slot catalog may suit you better.
Fortune of Olympus at online casinos in Canada
Real-money play depends on your province. In Ontario, Fortune of Olympus online casinos are AGCO-registered sites operating through iGaming Ontario that carry Pragmatic Play's newer releases. Alberta has its own regulated market of AGLC-registered operators since 13 July 2026; the other provinces run government sites, and offshore-licensed casinos that accept Canadians are not licensed by any province. Players need to be 19 or older, except in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec, where the line is 18.
Because this is a December 2025 game, not every lobby has it yet. When choosing between Fortune of Olympus casinos, check for a licence, Canadian payment methods, the RTP shown in the game's info screen and responsible gambling tools such as deposit limits. Our Canada guide covers the provincial rules.
Whatever you choose, keep stakes at a level where the special bets do not eat a budget in minutes. Slots are entertainment with a house edge, not a way to make money.

- Multipliers up to 500x in both the base game and free spins
- Running total multiplier in free spins can grow through the round
- Up to 30 free spins on the trigger, with retriggers
- Medium volatility suits longer sessions than the 1000 and 2500 Gates
Cons
- Seven bet modes take time to learn and make overspending easy
- Super Spin 2 costs 250x the stake per spin
- 10,000x ceiling is below Gates of Olympus Super Scatter's 50,000x
- As a December 2025 release it is not yet in every casino lobby
How the feature works
Clusters of five or more matching symbols pay and tumble away. Multiplier symbols worth 2x to 500x can land in any spin; at the end of a tumble sequence they are added and applied to its win. Four to seven Zeus scatters award 15, 20, 25 or 30 free spins, and the same counts retrigger. In free spins every multiplier that hits in a win joins a running total that applies to later wins. Super free spins (500x buy) set a minimum multiplier of 5x.
