Gates of Olympus 2500: the short verdict
Gates of Olympus 2500 is the busiest version of Pragmatic Play's Zeus slot: multipliers up to 2,500x, a wheel that picks one of four free spins types, three ante levels, two Super Spin modes and four bonus buys. Underneath, it is the same 6x5 scatter-pays game with a 25,000x cap and a high volatility label. It suits players who like choosing how they pay for action. If you want the plain, medium-rated original, this is not that game.

The Gates of Olympus 2500 demo is the easiest way into Pragmatic Play's September 2026 release, because this version has more bet modes than any earlier Gates of Olympus. The core is unchanged: a 6x5 grid that pays for eight or more matching symbols anywhere, tumbling wins, and multiplier symbols that land on any spin. What is new is the size of those multipliers, now up to 2,500x, and what happens when free spins start.
Instead of one bonus, four scatters spin a wheel that chooses between four free spins types. On top of that come three ante bets, two Super Spin modes and four bonus buy prices. This page explains each of them with C$ examples, what the 96.52% in-game RTP and 25,000x max win mean, and how the game compares with the rest of the Olympus family.
Gates of Olympus 2500 demo: what to try first
The demo on this page is Pragmatic Play's own build, loaded with play money in C$. It uses the same maths as the real-money game, so it is the right place to work out which of the many modes you actually enjoy before any real stake is involved.
A sensible order for a first demo session:
- Play the normal spin at a low stake to see how often multipliers land and how tumbles chain.
- Switch on Ante 1 and Ante 3 in turn and watch how the cost per spin changes your play balance.
- Try Super Spin 1, where every spin carries at least one multiplier, and notice that free spins can't trigger in this mode.
- If the buy menu is visible, buy each free spins type once to see how differently they play.
One note: the provider's demo hides the bonus buy and some bet modes in certain regions, so your menu may be shorter than the full list on this page. Demo results are random and say nothing about a future real-money session.
How a spin pays: scatter wins, tumbles and multipliers
There are no paylines. After each spin, any symbol that appears eight or more times anywhere on the 30 positions pays. The crown is the top regular symbol, paying 10x the bet for 8 or 9 and 50x for 12 or more, and five coloured gems sit at the bottom of the ladder.
Winning symbols then disappear and new ones tumble in, and this repeats until a tumble produces no new win. Multiplier symbols worth 2x to 2,500x can land on any spin or tumble. When the tumble sequence ends, every multiplier on screen is added together and the total multiplies the sequence's win.
A worked example
Say a C$1 spin produces C$3 of wins across three tumbles, and a 10x and a 25x multiplier landed along the way. The multipliers add to 35x, so the sequence pays C$3 x 35 = C$105. If no win forms, the multipliers pay nothing. That pairing, a decent win and a big multiplier on the same sequence, is what the whole game revolves around, and the 2,500x ceiling is what makes this version swingier than the original's 500x.
The free spins wheel and its four bonus types
Four or more Zeus scatters award 15 free spins and spin a wheel that decides which type you play. Landing three or more scatters during the round adds five more spins.
| Free spins type | How multipliers work | Minimum multiplier | Buy price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free Spins 1 | Multipliers on winning spins add to a running total that multiplies wins | 2x | 100x |
| Free Spins 2 | Every multiplier that lands adds to a total that applies to all following wins | 2x | 250x |
| Super Free Spins 1 | As Free Spins 1 | 10x | 500x |
| Super Free Spins 2 | As Free Spins 2 | 10x | 1,250x |
The difference between types 1 and 2 is subtle but important. In type 1, a multiplier only joins the running total when it lands on a spin that wins. In type 2, every multiplier that lands counts, whether that spin wins or not, so the total can build even through quiet spins. The Super versions raise the floor: no multiplier in the round is worth less than 10x. The buy prices suggest the order of strength, with Super Free Spins 2 the most expensive by a wide margin.
Ante Bets and Super Spins in Canadian dollars
Gates of Olympus 2500 offers five alternatives to the normal spin. Each one raises the cost per spin in exchange for a different kind of action. The table uses a C$1 base bet.
| Mode | Cost per spin | What you get | Listed RTP |
|---|---|---|---|
| Normal spin | C$1 | Standard game | 96.52% |
| Ante 1 (1.25x) | C$1.25 | 2x the chance of free spins | 96.49% |
| Ante 2 (2.75x) | C$2.75 | 8x the chance of free spins | 96.49% |
| Ante 3 (5.5x) | C$5.50 | 8x the chance, plus better odds of the stronger free spins types | 96.49% |
| Super Spin 1 (20x) | C$20 | At least one multiplier every spin; no free spins | 96.50% |
| Super Spin 2 (250x) | C$250 | At least one multiplier of 25x or more every spin; no free spins | 96.50% |
Two things stand out. First, Ante 2 and Ante 3 give the same 8x free spins chance; the extra C$2.75 per spin on Ante 3 pays only for a better shot at the stronger wheel results. Second, the Super Spins are a different game altogether: they remove free spins and turn every spin into a multiplier hunt. At C$250 per spin on a C$1 base, Super Spin 2 is a mode for very large budgets only.
None of these modes improves the return. The listed RTPs are all within a few hundredths of a percent of each other, so the choice is about rhythm and cost, not value.

Bonus buy prices at a glance
If your casino offers the buy menu, you can skip the wheel and pay for the free spins type you want. Each buy lists a 96.50% RTP in the game rules.
- Free Spins 1, 100x: C$20 at a C$0.20 bet, C$100 at C$1.
- Free Spins 2, 250x: C$50 at C$0.20, C$250 at C$1.
- Super Free Spins 1, 500x: C$100 at C$0.20, C$500 at C$1.
- Super Free Spins 2, 1,250x: C$250 at C$0.20, C$1,250 at C$1.
A bought round can return far less than its price, and with high volatility that happens often. If a single purchase would take a large share of your session budget, it is the whole session in one click.
RTP, volatility and the 25,000x max win
The in-game rules list a 96.52% RTP for the normal spin, a house edge of 3.48%. Pragmatic Play's product page shows 96.51%, and the bet modes and buys sit between 96.49% and 96.50%. Casinos can install lower RTP builds of Pragmatic games, so open the rules screen at your casino and check the figure before you play.
The game carries Pragmatic Play's high volatility label, a step up from the medium rating of the original Gates of Olympus. In practice, that means long runs of small results punctuated by rare large ones.
The top prize is 25,000x the stake. Plain arithmetic:
- C$0.20 per spin: up to C$5,000
- C$1 per spin: up to C$25,000
- C$240, the highest base bet: up to C$6,000,000
That is a cap, not a forecast, and the provider does not publish how often it is reached. Our RTP and volatility guide explains how both numbers shape a session.
Where to play Gates of Olympus 2500 in Canada
As a September 2026 release, the game reaches casinos as they add Pragmatic Play's newest titles. Which of those casinos you may use depends on where you live:
- Ontario: only operators registered with the AGCO and operating through iGaming Ontario are authorised to offer it.
- Alberta: since 13 July 2026, operators must be registered with AGLC.
- Elsewhere: each province has its own online casino, and offshore-licensed casinos also accept Canadian players without a provincial licence. Check the licence and the terms.
- Age: you must be 19, or 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec.
Bet modes and buys can be switched off by a regulator, so the menu you see at one casino may differ from another. The game runs in a mobile browser with nothing to install, and provincial details are in our Canada guide.
Keeping the many modes under control
With six ways to spin, the cost per spin can jump from C$1 to C$250 with one tap. Choose the mode and stake before the first spin, fix a spending cap and an end time, and keep to them. Slots are entertainment with a built-in house edge; no mode or sequence changes that.
Gates of Olympus 2500 vs the rest of the Olympus family
Our catalog carries four versions of the Zeus slot. All use the same 6x5 scatter-pays grid and tumbles; the differences are in multipliers, volatility and extras.
| Game | Released | Volatility | Multipliers | Max win |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Gates of Olympus | February 2021 | Medium | 2x-500x | 5,000x |
| Gates of Olympus 1000 | December 2023 | High | 2x-1,000x | 15,000x |
| Gates of Olympus Super Scatter | April 2025 | Medium | 2x-500x | 50,000x |
| Gates of Olympus 2500 | September 2026 | High | 2x-2,500x | 25,000x |
The 1000 version is the closest relative: same high rating, one free spins type and a single 100x buy. Super Scatter gets its bigger cap from instant scatter prizes rather than from multipliers. The 2500 is the only one with a free spins wheel and Super Spins.
The same 2500 toolkit appears in Sweet Bonanza 2500, which pairs ante bets and Super Spins with free spins multiplier bombs and a medium rating. For multiplier symbols on a similar grid, see Starlight Princess 1000; Fortune of Olympus is another Olympus-themed Pragmatic slot, and browse every title in our slot games catalog.

What works and what does not
Pros
- Multiplier symbols reach 2,500x, five times the 500x top value of the original game
- A wheel picks one of four free spins types, so bonus rounds vary in character
- Three ante levels and two Super Spin modes let you choose how you pay for action
- In-game RTP of 96.52%, with every mode and buy listed between 96.49% and 96.50%
- 25,000x top prize, five times the cap of the original Gates of Olympus
Cons
- High volatility, unlike the medium-rated original
- Super Spin 2 costs 250x the base bet per spin, which is C$250 at C$1
- The wheel decides your free spins type unless you pay for a specific buy
- Regulators can switch off modes and buys, so the menu varies from casino to casino
How the feature works
Four or more Zeus scatters award 15 free spins and spin a wheel that picks Free Spins 1, Free Spins 2, Super Free Spins 1 or Super Free Spins 2; three or more scatters in the round add 5 spins. In type 1, multipliers on winning spins add to a running total. In type 2, every multiplier that lands adds to a total applied to all following wins. The Super versions set the minimum multiplier at 10x. Each type can also be bought directly for 100x, 250x, 500x or 1,250x.
