Gates of Olympus Super Scatter: the short verdict
Gates of Olympus Super Scatter keeps everything that made the original work - tumbles, 2x-500x multipliers, 15 free spins with a running total - and adds one new route to a big result: Super Scatters that pay up to 50,000x the base bet the moment they land. Medium volatility and a 96.50% RTP make it a sensible pick in the family. The jackpot-like prizes are rare, though, so budget for the ordinary game, not the headline.

The Gates of Olympus Super Scatter free slot on this page is Pragmatic Play's April 2025 return to Zeus's 6x5 grid. The core game is unchanged: symbols pay when 8 or more land anywhere, wins tumble, and multiplier orbs worth 2x to 500x can drop on any spin. The new piece is the Super Scatter, a special scatter that pays an instant prize of 100x to 50,000x the base bet when it lands as part of a free spins trigger.
Below we explain exactly when a Super Scatter pays, what each prize is worth at Canadian stakes, how the 1.5x Ante Bet and the two bonus buys work, and how this version compares with the original, the 1000 and the 2500. Figures come from the game's own rules. Slots are entertainment with a house edge; no maths here changes that.
Gates of Olympus Super Scatter free slot: what changed
If you know Gates of Olympus, you already know most of this game. Pragmatic Play kept the grid, the symbols, the tumble and the multiplier orbs, then changed four things around them.
- Super Scatters: special scatters that pay an instant prize when 4 or more scatters of any kind land.
- A dearer Ante Bet: 1.5x the stake instead of the original's 1.25x, buying more scatters and Super Scatters.
- A second bonus buy: super free spins at 500x, where every multiplier is at least 10x.
- A higher ceiling: 50,000x the stake, against 5,000x in the original.
The volatility label in the game's own rules is Medium, the same as the original and lower than the 1000 and 2500 versions. Some sites quote a different rating on an older five-step scale; we use the label shown in the game itself.
How a spin plays: scatter pays, tumbles and the paytable
Every Gates of Olympus Super Scatter slot spin fills 30 positions. Any symbol that appears 8 or more times anywhere pays, with higher pays for 10-11 and for 12 or more. Winning symbols then disappear, the rest fall, new ones drop in and the grid is checked again. The tumble continues until a grid produces no new win.
Top and bottom of the paytable
The crown is the premium symbol: 10x the bet for 8-9, 25x for 10-11 and 50x for 12 or more. The hourglass, ring and chalice follow, then five gems, down to the blue gem at 0.25x, 0.75x and 2x. In practice most base-game wins are gem wins, and their size depends far more on the multiplier orbs that land with them than on the symbol itself.
Because there are no paylines, the grid can look busy without paying. Eight matching symbols is a high bar on a 30-position grid, so a run of empty spins is normal behaviour for this game rather than a sign that anything has changed.
Multiplier symbols: 2x to 500x on any spin
Multiplier symbols, the orbs, are worth from 2x to 500x. They can land on any spin or tumble, in the base game and in free spins. When a tumble sequence ends, the values of all multipliers on screen are added together and applied to the total win of that sequence.
Two details shape how this feels:
- Multipliers need a win. An orb that lands on a spin with no win pays nothing. The best base-game results come from a long tumble that collects several orbs and still ends with a win.
- Orbs are added, not multiplied. A 5x and a 10x in the same sequence give 15x, not 50x.
So a C$1 spin with C$3 of tumble wins and orbs worth 5x and 10x pays C$45. The same C$3 with a single 500x orb pays C$1,500 - rare, but that is the range the game is built around.
The Super Scatter, explained with C$ prizes
The Super Scatter is what separates this version from the rest of the family. It counts as a scatter, so it helps trigger free spins, and it also pays its own fixed prize. The rule is precise: the prize only applies when a spin lands 4 or more scatters in total, regular and Super Scatters counted together. Then the number of Super Scatters among them sets the prize.
| Super Scatters in the trigger | Prize (x base bet) | At C$0.20 | At C$1 | At C$10 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 100x | C$20 | C$100 | C$1,000 |
| 2 | 500x | C$100 | C$500 | C$5,000 |
| 3 | 5,000x | C$1,000 | C$5,000 | C$50,000 |
| 4 | 50,000x | C$10,000 | C$50,000 | C$500,000 |
Two limits matter. The prize is paid on the base bet, not on the extra cost of the Ante Bet. And Super Scatters do not appear during free spins, so their prizes come from the spin that triggers the round. The regular Zeus scatter keeps its own pays alongside: 3x for 4, 5x for 5 and 100x for 6 or more.
Free spins: 15 spins and a running total multiplier
Four or more scatters award 15 free spins. The round works like the original's: every time a multiplier orb lands on a winning free spin, its value is added to a running total multiplier, and that total applies to the wins that follow for the rest of the round. Landing 3 or more scatters during the round adds 5 more spins.
The running total is the engine of the bonus. An early 25x orb on a winning spin lifts every later win by at least 25x, so the order of events matters as much as the size of the orbs. Rounds that build a total early tend to produce the big results; rounds whose multipliers land on losing spins can finish below the cost of a buy.
Super free spins
Bought for 500x the bet, super free spins use the same structure but every multiplier orb is worth at least 10x. That removes the orbs below 10x that slow down a normal round, and it is what the fivefold price pays for.

Ante Bet and the two bonus buys
The game offers three ways to change how you pay for your spins. The provider publishes a slightly different RTP for each, which is unusual enough to show in full.
| Option | Cost on a C$1 base bet | Effect | Published RTP |
|---|---|---|---|
| Base game | C$1.00 | Standard spin | 96.50% |
| Ante Bet | C$1.50 | More scatters and Super Scatters; buys disabled | 96.55% |
| Buy Free Spins | C$100 | 15 free spins, 4-6 scatters on the trigger | 96.50% |
| Buy Super Free Spins | C$500 | Free spins with multipliers of at least 10x | 96.49% |
The gaps are tiny: 0.05% on C$1,000 of play is 50 cents. Choose by budget, not by RTP. The Ante Bet raises every spin by half, so a C$1 player spends C$150 over 100 spins instead of C$100, in exchange for more chances at scatters and Super Scatters. Some regional builds hide the buys, so check what your casino offers.
Gates of Olympus Super Scatter max win and volatility
The Gates of Olympus Super Scatter max win is 50,000x the stake, ten times the original's 5,000x and double the 2500 version's 25,000x. It is the same figure as the four-Super-Scatter prize, which tells you where most of that headroom comes from.
- C$0.20 spin: up to C$10,000
- C$1 spin: up to C$50,000
- C$10 spin: up to C$500,000
- C$240 base-bet maximum: up to C$12,000,000
The game's own rules list a 96.50% RTP for the base game. Across a very large number of spins, that is about C$96.50 returned per C$100 staked. Casinos can run lower RTP settings of many Pragmatic Play slots, so check the rules screen in the game at your casino.
Medium volatility means the base game pays small wins regularly and the bonus arrives often enough to keep a session moving, but a 50,000x result is a very long shot at any stake. Size your stake for the everyday game: around 1% of your session budget per spin leaves room for the quiet stretches. Our RTP and volatility guide explains the labels.
Super Scatter Gates of Olympus demo: free play vs real money
The Super Scatter Gates of Olympus demo on this page is Pragmatic Play's own build in Canadian dollars with a play-money balance. Free play uses the same maths as the real game, so it is a fair way to learn how often scatters land, how the running multiplier builds and what the Ante Bet costs over a session.
A few things are worth knowing before you play Gates of Olympus Super Scatter demo rounds:
- The Gates of Olympus Super Scatter demo free mode needs no account and nothing you win can be withdrawn.
- Super Scatter prizes are rare. A demo session that never shows one is normal, not proof of anything.
- Regional builds differ. Depending on where you connect from, the bonus buys may be hidden in the demo or at a casino.
Gates of Olympus Super Scatter free play is best used to set your real stake. Play a few hundred spins at the amount you plan to bet, note the lowest point the balance reaches, and make sure your real budget could absorb a drop like that. Free Gates of Olympus Super Scatter spins cost nothing; real ones do, so the habit is worth building first.
Super Scatter vs Gates of Olympus, 1000 and 2500
The four Gates of Olympus versions on our list share a grid and a theme but differ in where the big results come from.
| Version | Volatility | Multipliers | Max win | Ante Bet | Buys |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Super Scatter | Medium | 2x-500x | 50,000x | 1.5x | 100x / 500x |
| Original | Medium | 2x-500x | 5,000x | 1.25x | 100x |
| 1000 | High | 2x-1,000x | 15,000x | 1.25x | 100x |
| 2500 | High | 2x-2,500x | 25,000x | 1.25x / 2.75x / 5.5x | 100x to 1,250x |
The 1000 and 2500 chase bigger results through bigger multipliers, and both carry a High volatility label. Super Scatter keeps the original's multiplier range and medium rating and puts its extra ceiling into a separate prize instead. If you prefer the 2x-500x rhythm of the original but want a rare shot at something much larger, this is the version that does that.
The 2500 is the most complicated of the four: a wheel picks one of four free spins types when the bonus triggers, three Ante Bet levels change your chances, and Super Spins at 20x and 250x put at least one multiplier on every spin. Super Scatter is simpler to read, with one Ante Bet, two buys and a single kind of free spins round. If you want to compare the family without spending anything, each version on our list has its own demo, and playing the same number of spins at the same stake in two of them shows the difference in rhythm more clearly than any table. Sugar Rush Super Scatter applies the same Super Scatter idea to a 7x7 cluster grid.
Where to play it in Canada
Pragmatic Play Gates of Olympus Super Scatter is distributed through casinos that carry the provider's games, so availability depends on the site and on your province. Ontarians should use an AGCO-registered site listed by iGaming Ontario and confirm the game is in its lobby; Albertans can check AGLC's list of registered operators, in place since 13 July 2026. In the rest of Canada, provincially run sites are the authorised option, and offshore-licensed casinos operate outside those systems.
Before depositing, check three things in the game itself: the RTP on the rules screen, whether the Ante Bet and buys are offered, and the bet range. Then set a deposit limit in your account. Real-money play is for adults: 19+ in most provinces and 18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. Our Canada guide has the province-by-province detail.

What works and what does not
Pros
- Super Scatters add an instant prize of up to 50,000x the base bet
- Medium volatility with the original's familiar 2x-500x multiplier orbs
- Running total multiplier in free spins rewards early orbs for the rest of the round
- Published RTP of 96.50% to 96.55% across every mode
- Free demo in Canadian dollars with the same maths as the real game
Cons
- Three or four Super Scatters on one trigger are very rare; a session can easily pass without one
- Ante Bet costs 1.5x the stake, more than the original's 1.25x
- Super free spins at 500x the bet are a large outlay for one round
- Bonus buys may be hidden in some regional builds
How the feature works
Four or more scatters, regular or Super, award 15 free spins; 3 or more during the round add 5. In free spins, each multiplier orb on a winning spin is added to a running total that boosts every later win. On the trigger itself, Super Scatters pay an instant prize: 1, 2, 3 or 4 of them pay 100x, 500x, 5,000x or 50,000x the base bet. Super Scatters never appear inside free spins. Buying costs 100x, or 500x for super free spins with orbs of 10x or more.
