Sweet Bonanza 1000: the short verdict
Sweet Bonanza 1000 keeps the original's easy 6x5 candy grid and pushes almost everything into the free spins, where bombs now reach 1,000x and the ceiling rises to 25,000x. The price is a plainer base game and a Medium volatility label instead of the original's Low. It suits players who enjoy chasing the bonus and can budget for the gaps between rounds; if you want a steadier session, the original Sweet Bonanza is the gentler pick.

The Sweet Bonanza 1000 slot is Pragmatic Play's upgraded version of its 6x5 candy game: the same tumbling, pay-anywhere grid and the very same paytable, but the multiplier bombs in free spins now reach 1,000x and the top win rises to 25,000x the stake. A 500x buy for Super Free Spins, where no bomb is worth less than 20x, is new as well.
Below you will find what changed from the original, how a free spins round actually plays out, what the 96.53% RTP and Medium volatility mean at Canadian stakes, and which betting mode fits which budget. Follow along in the free demo above: it runs the provider's real maths with a C$ play-money balance.
How the Sweet Bonanza 1000 slot plays
The screen is six reels of five rows, 30 positions in all, and there are no lines to follow. Any 8 or more identical symbols anywhere on the grid form a win. Winning symbols then vanish, the ones above slide down, fresh candy and fruit drops in from the top, and the game checks again. A spin only ends when a drop produces no new win, so one stake can collect several payouts in a chain.
Candies on top, fruit below
Four candies make up the premium tier. The red heart leads the paytable, returning 10x, 25x or 50x the total bet for 8-9, 10-11 or 12+ hearts. Purple, green and blue candies follow. Five fruits fill the lower half, from the apple (1x for 8-9) down to the banana, where 8-9 return a quarter of the bet. The paytable is identical to the original Sweet Bonanza, so anyone who knows that game already knows these values.
What the base game does not have
Multiplier bombs only appear in free spins. In the base game every win is a plain symbol pay, which makes it the quieter half of the slot. Its job is mainly to land the four lollipop scatters that open the bonus; the large outcomes the 1000 is built for come almost entirely from the round that follows.
What the 1000 changes from the original Sweet Bonanza
Three versions of this grid are in our catalog. The board, the symbols and the trigger stay the same; the bomb range, the volatility label and the buy options are what separate them.
| Sweet Bonanza | Sweet Bonanza 1000 | Sweet Bonanza 2500 | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Volatility (in-game label) | Low | Medium | Medium |
| Bomb range in free spins | 2x-100x | 2x-1,000x | 2x-2,500x |
| Max win | 21,100x | 25,000x | 25,000x |
| Published RTP | 96.48% | 96.53% | 96.52% |
| Feature buys | 100x | 100x and 500x | 100x, 500x and 1,000x |
Two points stand out. First, the jump from the original is bigger than the max-win figures suggest: the ceiling rises from 21,100x to 25,000x, but the strongest single bomb is ten times larger, so more of the return depends on rare, high-value bombs, which fits the move from a Low to a Medium label. Second, the 1000 and the 2500 share the same 25,000x cap. The 2500 adds bigger bombs, extra ante levels and Super Spins; the 1000 keeps a shorter menu with one ante option and two buys.
Which version to pick
Choose the original if you want the calmest ride and the cheapest way to learn the grid. Choose the 1000 if you want bigger bombs while keeping the menu simple. Choose the 2500 only if you want to manage several ante levels and are comfortable with the largest bomb range of the three.
Free spins and multiplier bombs up to 1,000x
The bonus opens when at least four lollipops land at once, wherever they sit, and it starts with 10 free spins. Those lollipops are paid on the spot too: 3x the bet for four, 5x for five, 100x for six. Inside the round, a further three or more lollipops add five spins to the count.
Inside the round, multiplier bombs can land on the grid with values from 2x to 1,000x. They stay on screen while the tumbles continue. When the tumble sequence finishes, the game adds up every bomb on screen and multiplies the sequence's total win by that sum.
A worked example at C$0.50
- A free spin pays 10-11 purple candies: 10x the bet, C$5.
- The tumble lands 8 apples: 1x, C$0.50. The sequence now totals C$5.50.
- A 25x and a 100x bomb are on screen when the sequence ends: 125x combined.
- The sequence pays C$5.50 x 125 = C$687.50.
The same bombs on a spin with no symbol win pay nothing, which is the most important thing to understand about the round. A 1,000x bomb is only as valuable as the win it lands with, so a bonus can show big numbers on screen and still end close to its starting point.
Ante bet, free spins buy and Super Free Spins
Three optional modes sit next to the spin button. Each changes the cost of reaching the bonus; none of them changes the house edge in your favour.
- Ante bet - every spin costs 1.25x your base bet, and the chance of triggering free spins doubles. The buy options are switched off while it is active.
- Buy free spins - 100x the bet for the standard 10-spin round.
- Buy Super Free Spins - 500x the bet for a round in which every multiplier is at least 20x.
| Mode | Cost at C$0.20 | Cost at C$1 | Published RTP |
|---|---|---|---|
| Normal spin | C$0.20 | C$1 | 96.53% |
| Ante bet spin | C$0.25 | C$1.25 | 96.50% |
| Buy free spins | C$20 | C$100 | 96.52% |
| Buy Super Free Spins | C$100 | C$500 | 96.55% |
The RTP differences between modes are a few hundredths of a percent, so the choice comes down to budget and taste, not value. The 20x floor in Super Free Spins removes the weakest bombs but costs five times as much as a normal buy, and the round still pays nothing extra on spins without a symbol win. A C$100 Super Free Spins buy at a C$0.20 bet is the same outlay as 500 normal spins at that stake.
Sweet Bonanza 1000 RTP, volatility and max win
Pragmatic Play publishes an RTP of 96.53% for the standard game. In plain terms, across a very long run of spins, C$100 staked returns about C$96.53 on average and the house keeps C$3.47. Short sessions swing far above or below that, which is what volatility describes. Casinos can choose to run lower RTP builds of the same slot, so the number to trust is the one in the game's information screen at the site where you play. Our RTP and volatility explainer covers how to read it.
Pragmatic's own rules screen puts this version in the middle band of its Low/Medium/High scale. For this game that means a base game of mostly modest wins and a bonus that carries most of the upside.
25,000x in Canadian dollars
The max win is 25,000x the stake. In the demo, stakes start at C$0.20 and go to C$240 (C$300 once the ante is on); at a casino, the house sets its own limits.
- C$0.20 bet: max win C$5,000
- C$0.50 bet: max win C$12,500
- C$1 bet: max win C$25,000
- C$2 bet: max win C$50,000
These are ceilings. Reaching one takes a free spins round where large bombs land together with large symbol wins, again and again, and almost every round ends well below it.

The Sweet Bonanza 1000 free slot demo at the top of this page loads the provider's own game with a C$ play-money balance. No account or deposit is needed, and when the balance runs low you can reload the page to start again. Because it is the same build, everything on this page can be checked there: tumbles, the 10-spin trigger, the bombs and the ante bet.
Getting the most out of Sweet Bonanza 1000 free play
- Play at the stake you would use with real money, so the balance moves at a realistic pace.
- Count how many spins it takes to reach free spins a few times. The spread is wide, and that is the real lesson of a Medium-volatility bonus slot.
- Watch how many bombs land on spins without a win. It shows why the bonus can end small.
- If the buy buttons are visible in your region, compare a 100x round with a 500x round on play money first.
The demo cannot pay out, and it cannot predict anything: each spin is independent of the last. What it can do is show you whether you enjoy the rhythm before your own money is involved.
Session tips: stake size, limits and the bonus gap
No method changes the 96.53% RTP or makes a bomb more likely. What you can control is how long your budget lasts and when you stop.
- Size the stake to the gap. Because most of the value sits in free spins, the budget has to survive the spins before the bonus. C$50 at C$0.25 gives 200 spins; at C$1 it gives 50, which can easily pass without a trigger.
- Settle the ante question at the start. It makes each spin 25% more expensive while doubling the trigger chance. Switching it on and off mid-session only makes your spending harder to track.
- Ring-fence buys. If you want to try a bought round, set its money aside separately. At C$1, one Super Free Spins buy is C$500.
- Write down a stop point for losses and for time before the first spin, and honour both.
Sweet Bonanza 1000 is entertainment with a house edge, not a way to earn money. Plenty of videos and forum posts claim a winning method, but none of them can change the maths behind the game.
The Sweet Bonanza 1000 Pragmatic Play family and similar slots
If you like this game, several close relatives are in our catalog, each with a different balance between steady play and a high ceiling.
- Sweet Bonanza - the 2019 original: Low volatility, bombs from 2x to 100x, max win 21,100x.
- Sweet Bonanza 2500 - bombs to 2,500x, two ante levels, Super Spins and a 1,000x buy, same 25,000x cap.
- Sweet Rush Bonanza - same grid with multiplier spots that double up to 128x instead of bombs.
- Gates of Olympus 1000 - the same 6x5 scatter-pay format with 2x-1,000x multipliers that also land in the base game.
- Starlight Princess 1000 - the same 6x5 scatter-pay format with multipliers up to 1,000x on any spin and a 15,000x cap.
- Sugar Rush 1000 - candy theme on a 7x7 cluster grid, High volatility.
The key difference with the Gates games is timing: their multipliers can land on any spin, while Sweet Bonanza 1000 saves its bombs for the free spins. More options are in the full slot catalog.
Where you can play Sweet Bonanza 1000 for real money in Canada
The rules depend on your province. Ontario has a regulated market run through iGaming Ontario, with private sites registered with the AGCO, and Alberta has had one since 13 July 2026, with operators registered with AGLC. Other provinces set their own rules, which our playing in Canada guide explains. Players need to be 19, apart from Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec, where the threshold is 18.
Before staking your own money - and before you play Sweet Bonanza 1000 anywhere new - check three things at the casino: that it is licensed for your province, which RTP build it runs (the published figure is 96.53%), and whether it offers deposit limits, loss limits and time-outs. If the feature buys are missing, that is usually a local rule rather than a fault.
It also helps to compare the real-money game with the demo you tried here. The paytable, the scatter rules and the bomb range should match exactly; if the information screen shows a lower RTP, you are playing a different build of the same slot, and the long-run return is lower than the published 96.53%.

What works and what does not
Pros
- Bombs up to 1,000x give the free spins ten times the original's top multiplier
- 25,000x max win, level with Sweet Bonanza 2500
- Same paytable and rules as the original, so it is quick to learn
- Published RTP between 96.50% and 96.55% in every mode
- Free demo with a C$ play-money balance on the provider's real build
Cons
- Bombs appear only in free spins, so the base game is plain
- Medium volatility instead of the original's Low means longer dry spells
- Bombs pay nothing on a free spin without a symbol win, so big numbers can come to nothing
- Casinos may run lower RTP builds than the published 96.53%
How the feature works
Landing at least four lollipop scatters opens 10 free spins, and the lollipops themselves pay 3x (four), 5x (five) or 100x (six) the bet. In the round, multiplier bombs worth 2x to 1,000x can land; when a tumble sequence ends, all bombs on screen are added together and applied to that sequence's win. Three or more scatters add 5 spins. The round can be bought for 100x the bet, or Super Free Spins for 500x, where every multiplier is at least 20x.
