12 Masks of Fire Drum Frenzy: the short verdict
12 Masks of Fire Drum Frenzy keeps the series' compact 5x3, 20-line frame and builds two prize routes on it: Epic Strike pays for 3 to 12 mask scatters, and the Tower Bonus always ends in an award. The 96.05% RTP and medium-high volatility are published, the bet range and bonus trigger are not. Read the rules in the game, think twice about the 1.5x Win Booster, and keep stakes small enough for the swings.

12 Masks of Fire Drum Frenzy is the September 2025 entry in Gameburger Studios' Masks of Fire series, released through Games Global. It plays on 5 reels and 3 rows with 20 paylines, and the studio publishes a 96.05% RTP with medium-high volatility. On top of the line game sit two prize systems: Epic Strike, which pays for mask scatters, and a Tower Bonus that leads into the drum features.
This 12 Masks of Fire Drum Frenzy review explains each feature using only what the studio and Games Global have published, flags where their figures disagree, and converts the numbers into C$. It is not the same game as 2024's 12 Masks of Fire Drums, despite the near-identical name. Slots are entertainment with a house edge; 19+ (18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec).
12 Masks of Fire Drum Frenzy at a glance
Here is everything the provider side has made public, in one place. Where a field is blank on the studio page, we say so instead of filling it in.

| Grid | 5 reels, 3 rows |
| Paylines | 20 |

The bet range and any buy option will be visible in the game itself. Check both in the demo or at your casino rather than assuming them from another Masks of Fire title.
Epic Strike: how the mask scatters pay
The mask is the scatter, and it pays on its own terms rather than along the paylines. Landing between 3 and 12 mask scatters awards an Epic Strike prize from 1x up to 4,000x the bet. The in-game paytable lists the exact value for each count.
Put the numbers on a 5x3 grid in context: there are only 15 positions, so 12 masks means almost the whole screen is covered. That is why the top of the Epic Strike scale is so far above the bottom - three masks is a small consolation, a near-full screen is a headline result.
Epic Strike Cash
Some masks carry cash values. When an Epic Strike pays, these cash masks add their values to the payout, so the same count of masks can be worth more depending on which ones landed. At a C$1 stake the Epic Strike range alone runs from C$1 to C$4,000, before any cash masks are added.
The Tower Bonus and the three drum features
The second prize route is the Tower Bonus. The studio describes it as guaranteeing an award, which will be one of four outcomes:
- A cash prize paid straight away.
- Jumbo Drum - enlarged symbols land to collect more drums.
- Cash Drum - cash values up to 250x the bet boost the prize ladder.
- Drum Frenzy - the Jumbo Drum and Cash Drum bonuses combined.
Drum Frenzy, the feature the game is named after, is the top outcome because it stacks both mechanics: bigger symbols collecting more drums, while cash values push the ladder higher. On a C$1 stake, a single Cash Drum value can be worth up to C$250.
What the published material does not cover is how the Tower Bonus is triggered or how the prize ladder steps are valued. Those details are in the game's rules screen. Read them before you play for real money, so you know what you are aiming for.
WIN BOOSTER: the 1.5x ante bet
WIN BOOSTER raises your stake to 1.5x in exchange for a higher chance of triggering the features. It is optional, and it changes the economics of a session more than it might seem.
| Base stake | With WIN BOOSTER | Spins from a C$60 budget (normal) | Spins from a C$60 budget (boosted) |
|---|---|---|---|
| C$0.20 | C$0.30 | 300 | 200 |
| C$0.50 | C$0.75 | 120 | 80 |
| C$1 | C$1.50 | 60 | 40 |
Every spin costs 50% more, so the same budget covers a third fewer spins. The provider does not publish a separate RTP for boosted play, so check the rules screen before deciding whether the higher feature chance is worth it. If you are unsure, play normally first and try the booster in the demo.
12 Masks of Fire Drum Frenzy RTP, volatility and max win
Gameburger Studios lists a 96.05% RTP. In theory, that leaves a house edge of C$3.95 for every C$100 wagered, averaged over a very large number of spins. Casinos may run lower-RTP versions, so the rules screen at your casino is the final word.
Volatility is medium-high: expect stretches where little happens, broken by features that can pay well. That fits a game whose biggest results come from rare events such as a near-full screen of masks or Drum Frenzy.
4,000x or 5,000x?
The two official sources disagree. Games Global's launch announcement gives a 5,000x maximum win; the studio's own page speaks of win potential of 4,000x, the same as the top Epic Strike prize. Until the in-game rules settle it, here are both in C$:
| Stake | At 4,000x | At 5,000x |
|---|---|---|
| C$0.20 | C$800 | C$1,000 |
| C$1 | C$4,000 | C$5,000 |
| C$2 | C$8,000 | C$10,000 |
Either way, the ceiling is a rare outcome, not a target. Our RTP and volatility page explains how to read these numbers.

Trying the 12 Masks of Fire Drum Frenzy demo
The demo on this page is the Games Global play-money version. Nothing is deposited and nothing can be withdrawn, which makes it the right place to answer the questions the published specs leave open:
- what the bet selector offers in C$;
- how the Tower Bonus is triggered;
- how the prize ladder is valued;
- whether a buy option appears in the menu;
- what the rules state as the maximum win.
Games Global serves its demos from its own servers, and they do not load in every region. If the frame stays blank or shows an error, your device is fine; the demo simply is not available where you are, and the real-money game at a regulated casino is the alternative.
How it compares with 9 Masks of Fire
Gameburger has spun the Masks of Fire name into a family that includes 12 Masks of Fire Drums, 12 Masks of Fire Night Fever, 12 Masks of Fire Eruption Prize Flow and 9 Masks of Fire King Millions. In our catalogue, the direct comparison is the older 9 Masks of Fire:
| 9 Masks of Fire | 12 Masks of Fire Drum Frenzy | |
|---|---|---|
| Grid and lines | 5x3, 20 paylines | 5x3, 20 paylines |
| RTP | 96.24% | 96.05% |
| Volatility | Medium | Medium-High |
| Main features | Stacked masks, Any 7s pays, free spins with multipliers set by a wheel | Epic Strike, Tower Bonus, Jumbo Drum, Cash Drum, Drum Frenzy |
| Ante bet | Not listed | WIN BOOSTER 1.5x |
The newer game trades a little RTP for more volatility and more ways to reach a prize. If you prefer the classic free spins format, 9 Masks of Fire is the calmer choice. Other Games Global titles with prize features include Gold Blitz and Area Link Phoenix Firestorm.
Who this slot suits
Drum Frenzy is a game of two halves. The line game on 20 paylines is the familiar Masks of Fire frame; the excitement sits in how many masks land at once and in what the Tower Bonus hands out. That makes it a better fit for some players than others.
It suits you if you:
- enjoyed 9 Masks of Fire and want more volatility and more prize routes on the same 5x3 layout;
- like scatter pays you can count on screen - the more masks, the closer you are to the top of the Epic Strike scale;
- prefer a bonus that always ends in an award over one that can fizzle out empty.
It suits you less if you want every spec published up front - the bet range and Tower trigger are not - or if a medium-high volatility ride would make you chase losses. In that case, the medium-volatility 9 Masks of Fire, or a fully documented title such as Bigger Bass Splash, is the steadier pick.
Playing it in Canada
Ontario has an open, regulated market: private casinos register with the AGCO and operate through iGaming Ontario. Alberta opened its own regulated market on 13 July 2026, with operators registered with AGLC; in the other provinces, the regulated online option is a provincially run site. The age limit is 19, dropping to 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. Our Canada guide has the province-by-province picture.
For a medium-high volatility slot, a few habits keep the session in proportion:
- stake around 1% of your session budget, and less if you switch on WIN BOOSTER;
- confirm the RTP and maximum win in the rules screen at your casino;
- set deposit and time limits before you start, and stop when you hit them.
No pattern of bets changes the outcome of a spin. Play the 12 Masks of Fire Drum Frenzy slot for the features, not as a way to earn.

- The Tower Bonus always ends in an award
- Drum Frenzy combines Jumbo Drum and Cash Drum, with cash values up to 250x
- Familiar 5x3, 20-line frame that is easy to read
Cons
- Bet range and Tower Bonus trigger are not published
- Official sources disagree on the max win: 5,000x or 4,000x
- RTP is lower than 9 Masks of Fire's 96.24%
- The Games Global demo may not load in every region
How the feature works
Two prize routes sit on top of the 5x3, 20-line game. Epic Strike pays when 3 to 12 mask scatters land, from 1x up to 4,000x the bet, and cash masks add their values to that payout. The Tower Bonus guarantees an award: a cash prize, Jumbo Drum (enlarged symbols collect more drums), Cash Drum (cash values up to 250x boost the prize ladder) or Drum Frenzy, which combines both. WIN BOOSTER (1.5x stake) raises the feature chance.
